As The Waves Crash and Weird Questions Meme

So I thought I'd do a combined post today, showing off this outfit and doing Strawberry Singh's latest meme, weird questions. I'm wearing Tee*fy's items from Summerfest and they are outstanding. The skirt and top are a must have for any girls wardrobe this summer and there are lots of color/pattern options. And onto the meme!

1. Which was the last sim you visited? (Other than your home) Baja Norte
2. Does your avatar look like the real you? Nope. In real life I am short brunette with freckles. If you know me from plurk, you know this. 
3. Do you wear underwear/panties underneath your clothing when out and about on the grid? Never. I'm known to flash my girly parts if the alpha doesn't cover it. I have some friends who take great pleasure in this. 
4. If you won a million linden dollars, what would be the first thing you buy inworld? Probably get my own homestead and decorate it. If not, then just save it. 
5. Have you ever bought something in SL and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? I think I've done this with a few small furniture items from place like What Next and Cheeky Pea. Nothing outstanding, just decor. 
6. Have you ever done anything in Second Life that would be considered illegal in real life? Yes. We used to break into people's houses for fun, I guess this was about four years ago. The rest of the stuff I won't mention and it may or may not be illegal, depending on where you live. 
7. If you could go out on a date with any other avatar, who would it be? I've already achieved this goal.
8. Who, in your opinion, was the greatest avatar to ever slive? This question is too hard. There are so many great avatars out there, from my great to the fantastic designers and talented photographers. 
9. What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done inworld? Oh I'm pretty sure I've said ridiculous things to crushes and just had entire emote sessions that were bad. I look back now and wonder what I was thinking. There was also this time I TP'd to my ex's club and there was a couple full on going at it in local voice. No one should ever hear strangers orgasm. 
10. If your avatar had a mind of its own, what do you think it would say to you? "CJ you hoar!" Oh wait, that's what my friends would say. Pretty sure my avatar would agree with them though :P

My Otter Friends Are Trouble

So the moment I saw flowey's cute buried mermaid prop at Summerfest the only thing I could think of was the Friends episode at the beach house when Joey falls asleep and they bury him in the sand, giving him a nice sandy breasts. So I can just imagine what my friends would do if I was drinking at the beach and fell asleep in the sand. Now let's imagine them all as otter's!

 

First there is Luna Jubilee, the "off with your pants" pirate. Then Bouncer Criss, the camouflaged fishermen. After that we have Katya Valeska and Arun Batra sharing a drink. Rolling along in the sand is Valena Vacano, followed by Dani Riaxik the babe watcher. And finally there is Howard Rushwald the captain of a sandcastle and Isla Gealach the bathing beauty.

That Summer Feelin'

Yesterday marked the beginning of two great events for the summer season. Summerfest and the second round of The Garden with a theme of sandbridge. You are sure to find all your summer needs in SL at both these places. I decided to throw some of my favorites together for a little post today.

Pixel Mode has an awesome release at The Garden, including this beach blanket complete with a little umbrella, beach ball, picnic basket and frisbee plus loads of poses. Who say's you can't have sex on the beach without getting sand in unmentionable places?

My favorite thing from Summerfest has to be this adorable otter from Anya Ohmai. You can get a pet otter or an avatar. The pet otter comes wrapped in a blanket like a newborn and comes with a variety of differently posed otters and you can choose what it holds.

Sleazy Dancing: An SL Movie Poster Challenge

Strawberry Singh posted her latest meme Monday asking us all to create our own movie poster. People were being super creative and I was very impressed with the posters I had seen but I had no clue what I was going to do. Then yesterday at the end of work I was suddenly inspired and had quite a few ideas. I have to say this is the most fun I've had with a picture in a very long time and I'm sure this isn't the only poster I'll do since I still have so many ideas.

Today's poster was inspired by the movie Dirty Dancing. It's one of those movies I can watch over and over and never get bored with it. It has an amazing soundtrack, some famous scenes and iconic quotes. I asked Bouncer Criss to help me out and channel Patrick Swayze and I think he did a pretty good job. His movie posters are amazing as well and you can view them here and here. I like the Twilight spoof the best!

Breezy Beautiful

It's another gorgeous weekend so I thought I would put together a look in SL that matches what one should be wearing outside in RL. ColdLogic had a fantastic new release this past week, a collection of easy breezy summer dresses. Now if I could just get my hands on something like this in real life, I would be one very happy girl. There are two days left of this round of The Boutique, which is where you can get this lovely necklace from lassitude & ennui. The Liaison Collaborative is making room for the a new round of the The Garden whose upcoming theme is sandbridge so stay tuned!

Blonde Beach Babe

So now that it's June I can really start thinking about visiting the beach. What are the ingredients for a successful visit to the beach? A bikini, lots of sunblock and a towel. Even if I don't go in the ocean it's nice to just lay back and enjoy the view. There is something invigorating about just inhaling that salty air when you visit. Not to mention the smell is great for sense memory and invokes some amazing moments from my childhood.
